Tenoroc Fish Management Area, run by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, spans 7,300 acres just northeast of Lakeland and is built around 14 reclaimed phosphate-pit lakes ranging from 7 to 227 acres. The lakes hold more than 30 fish species and are nationally known for trophy largemouth bass, with bank fishing, boat access, fishing platforms, and ADA-accessible spots at Derby Lake. The property also features hiking and a shooting sports center.
