About Saddle Creek Park
Saddle Creek Park sprawls across former phosphate-mining land between Lakeland and Winter Haven, where reclaimed pits have become a maze of lakes, marshes, and woods. It is one of the finest fall birding sites in interior Central Florida, with more than 175 species recorded and 35-plus warbler species, drawing birders from across the state. Beyond birding, the park offers a campground with water and electric hookups, picnic shelters, a playground, walking trails, fishing, and a public gun range.

Visitor Tips
