About Mayfaire by-the-Lake Art Festival
Mayfaire by-the-Lake is a free two-day fine-art festival presented by the Polk Museum of Art on the shores of Lake Morton in downtown Lakeland. Launched in 1971 as a small crafts fair, it has grown into one of Central Florida's largest and oldest outdoor art festivals, featuring more than 150 juried artist booths of painters, photographers, jewelers and clay artists, plus food and live entertainment. Held every Mother's Day weekend, it's a beloved local tradition.
