In the heart of downtown Lakeland, walkable from downtown rentals.
About Frances Langford Promenade at Lake Mirror
The Frances Langford Promenade is an elegant neoclassical colonnade and walkway wrapping the eastern shore of Lake Mirror in downtown Lakeland. Designed by New York landscape architect Charles Wellford Leavitt and completed in 1928, it was later dedicated to Lakeland-born singer and actress Frances Langford, and was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1983. Restored to its original grandeur, the promenade is a favorite spot for sunset strolls, photography and lakeside events. Staying at a downtown Lakeland vacation rental puts this landmark within easy walking distance for an evening lap around the water.
