About Fort Fraser Trail

The Fort Fraser Trail is a 7.75-mile paved multi-use path that follows a former Atlantic Coast Line railroad corridor between Lakeland and Bartow, mostly paralleling US Highway 98. Popular with cyclists, runners, walkers, and inline skaters, the flat route is dotted with benches, shelters, and water fountains along the way. A half-mile paved spur connects the trail directly to the Circle B Bar Reserve, linking two of Polk County's best outdoor destinations. With a Lakeland vacation rental near the south side of town, you can roll onto the trail and ride toward Bartow or detour into Circle B's wildlife-rich wetlands.
